Product Answers

  • Why should I sell prepaid cards?
  • Prepaid cards are now consumer staples. More than 60 million people in the US do not have traditional bank or credit accounts. Including prepaid cards in your product line expands your offerings, adds these previously "unbanked" customers to your base, allows you to build and strenghen client relationships, and generates revenue.
  • How do I decide what card to sell to my customers?
  • Convenient Cards offers a full suite of prepaid card products with cards tailored to specific use cases. The solution guide indicates the proper card to sell for the most common use cases. The Convenient Cards support team is available to guide you with other use case scenarios.
  • Do cards need to be registered to the cardholder?
  • Gift cards and incentive cards do not need to be registered when they are sold. However, if the cardholder would like to use their card to make online purchases, the card will need to be registered. Our reloadable cards require user registration at the time of sale. The USA PATRIOT Act is a federal law that requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens a reloadable Card Account. Registration information required includes name, address, date of birth and social security number.
  • Do I need to sell every type of card you offer?
  • No. When you sign the Prepaid Card Program Agreement, you are authorized to sell all the cards that we offer to financial institutions. You can choose to sell whichever cards you want. Be aware that no single card type serves all the different use cases that you are likely to want to serve.
  • What do I do if I want to start selling a different card type?
  • All you need to do is order card inventory. When you sign the Prepaid Card Program Agreement, you are authorized to sell all the cards that we offer to financial institutions.
  • Many big banks have launched prepaid card products. Can you help me compete?
  • Yes. Many large banks have recently started selling general purpose reloadable cards so they can meet the needs of customers that want a safe way to shop online, a way to set aside money for a budget, a way to provide students with an allowance...as well as a way to serve new prospective clients that are "unbanked". The Convenient Access Visa Prepaid Card is our general purpose reloadable card. You can serve similar needs of your customers and prospective customers with the Access Card.
